It’s easy to see why Cheyenne L. Rouse has such an avid following.  I had the privilege of seeing some of her work and hearing her speak at the Smugmug sponsored meeting with 100 other Photographers.

Cheyenne had a great slide show presentation that featured some of her best work and she spoke about her re-start back into photography using the High Dynamic Range Technique (HDR).

What struck me as memorable about her presentation was her devotion and love for what she is doing.  Cheyenne mentioned how she is “living the dream.”  The passion she exuded  during her presentation made it easy for other lovers of photography to relate to a life of following their deepest desires.  I have no doubt Cheyenne inspired with her story.  

The evening had all the elements for an awesome experience.  Everybody participated in a networking game of charades, pizza was served and Cheyenne’s presentation was easy to follow with questions from the audience.

At the end of the night a lot of unexpected prizes were given away!  People received SmugMug hoodies, t-shirts, mugs and two very lucky Grand Prize winners, Alex McClure and Andy Kempfert won a One year subscription for a Smugmug  Pro account and a Photomatix Pro 4.2 HDR Software.
What a great time!  I will think about Cheyenne when I see an old truck and I will remember the lessons she shared, “Listen to your own voice, live your life, live your dreams.”  Thank you to all of those who made the evening possible!
